Tour Itinerary
On your arrival at Xian airport or Xian Railway Station, our driver will hold a sign with your name waiting for you at the Exit. Pick up and transfer to the hotel. The rest day is free at leisure.
Pick you up from the hotel at about 8:30am to 9:00am, drive to the Banpo Neolithic Village Museum, which is an archaeological remain found in 1953. In the 1980s, it was one of few attractions in Xian, second only in world fame to the Terracotta Warriors. The Banpo Neolithic Village Museum contains the remains of several well organized Neolithic settlements dating from 5600 - 6700 BP. After 1 hour tour at Banpo Neolithic Village Museum, you will have chance to visit the Xian Art Ceramics and Laquer Factory, which is a state run factory that reproduces various sizes of a few of the more recognized terracotta warriors.
After lunch, drive 1 hour to world famous Terra-cotta Warriors, which is a collection of Terracotta sculptures depicting the armies of the first Emperor of China. It is a form of funerary art buried with the emperor in 210–209 BC and whose purpose was to protect the emperor in his afterlife. After visit at Terra-cotta Warriors, transfer you back to Xian city, you will have chance to visit the North Square of the Big Goose Pagoda, a unique square closely combines the Tang-style buildings, city sculpture with Tang-Dynasty culture and lots of precious trees.
The tour guide and the driver will meet you in your hotel lobby. Today’s adventure begins with Xian Museum. Tourists can learn about the history and culture of Xian by visiting the Xian Museum and the pagoda. Next move on to the nearby North Square of Big Wild Goose Pagoda. The pagoda standing on the square was originally built in the Tang Dynasty to keep sutras and figurines of the Buddha that Xuanzang brought back to China fromancient India. And surrounding the pagoda a garden styled square was built for citizens to have retreat.
After the lunch, we’ll move on to Xian Ancient City Wall. Xian Ancient City Wall is the most complete preserved and the largest city wall in China. It was built for military defense in ancient times. The rectangular city wall is 13.7 kilometers in circumference. Visitors can optionally ride bikes on the city wall top.
After that you will visit the Bell Tower and Drum Tower square for one hour. The Bell Tower and Drum Tower of Xi’an date back to the Ming dynasty (1368-1644). The two are located in the center of the Xian city connecting the four roads from east, south, west and north within the city wall.
The last stop is the Muslim Quarter , a hub of the Muslim community in Xian City. Many special local products and snacks to be found along this street. You can enjoy preserved meat, casserole, various noodles.
At the end of the day tour, you are transferred back to your hotel in Xian.
Pick up from the hotel, transfer to the airport or train station to see you off.
