9 Days Best of China Join-in Small Group Tour

Upon your arrival at Beijing International Airport. Our guide will hold a sign with your name waiting for you outside the baggage claim area. Pick up and transfer to the hotel.  

Pick up at your hotel about 7:00am.This tour starts at northern part of Tian'anmen Square. Seeing the Tian’anmen Rostrum, it is the symbol of new China. You could see two pairs of 600 years old stone lions, the ornamental columns, the outer golden water bridge and so on. Besides, having chance to view all constructions from distance. Such as the National Flag Pole, the Monument to the People's Hero, the Chairman Mao Zedong Memorial Hall, the Great Hall of People, and the National Museum.

From there you will proceed to the Forbidden City, the largest and best-preserved ancient imperial palaces group with 500 years history in the world. Visit the Forbidden City along the central axis from south to north for 2 hours.

On the way to Temple of Heaven, you will have a chance to visit the Chinese traditional medicine culture. After having a short rest, we'll visit the Temple of Heaven -- the largest ancient imperial worship architecture group in the world where the ancient Emperors prayed for peace and harvest. The visit to Temple of Heaven takes about 1 hour.

After Chinese lunch (40 minutes) in Restaurant, enjoy a short visit to a pearl free market not missed. Driving (30minutes) to Summer Palace, the largest and most beautiful Chinese imperial garden. It is regarded as a museum of gardens in China. The visit takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes. Transferred back to your hotels.

Pick up travelers from hotel on departure time between 7:00am and 8:00am, and then drive to the Changling Tomb(Ming Tombs) - Changling is the tomb of Emperor Zhudi, known as Yongle (1360-1420), and his empress Xushi. Yongle was the third emperor of the Ming dynasty. Construction of his tomb began in 1409 and was completed in 1427. It is the largest of the Ming tombs among the 13 mausoleums in the vicinity of Tianshou mountain. The tomb is notable for its well preserved Ling'en hall (the Hall of Eminent Favor), made of a rare type of hardwood known as Phoebe nanmu.

End the visit of Ming Tombs at about 11:00, before having Chinese traditional lunch (11:30), travelers have 45 minutes to have a short visit of Jade Carving Factory. The jade carving is very famous special local product, it was not only the excellent skill on carving, but also mixes many Chinese traditional cultures in the jade carving.

After having lunch, then driving to Mutianyu Great Wall. Mutianyu Great Wall is known for its beautiful surroundings - dense woods and rich pastures changing colors with the seasons of a year. If you want to reach the highest point, cable car is a good choice (optional). You are returned to the downtown Beijing, you will have a chance to enjoy the Chinese traditional Tea Ceremony. After the tour, transferred back to your hotels around 6:00pm.

After breakfast, transfer you to Shichahai Area. Visit the Beijing Old Hutongs by taking rickshaw. Hutong means the lanes, an old city alleyway or lane specific in Beijing. Survived as earlier as centuries of years ago, narrow lanes, or Hutongs were most common in old Beijing.

Afterwards, you would be transferred to the Beijing railway station. Take high speed train to Xian. The train ride will take 5.5 hours. This will offer you a chance to experience China train tour and get more close to local Chinese people.

Upon your arrival at Xian North Station, pick up and transfer to the hotel.

After breakfast, pick up from the hotel. Then drive to visit famous and must-be see spot, the Terra-Cotta Warriors, which is a collection of terracotta sculptures depicting the armies of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China. It is a form of funerary art buried with the emperor in 210–209 BC and whose purpose was to protect the emperor in his afterlife.

Continue to visit the Big Goose Pagoda. A major Buddhist site, the simple, elegant brick Pagoda stands in the grounds of the attractive Da Ci'en Temple. The Pagoda was built in the 7th century to house the Buddhist materials that Xuanzang (Tripitaka) brought back from his epic journey to India.

Last you will visit Shaanxi Provincial History Museum - a large modern museum of the national level where you will see the artifacts that have been collected in Shaanxi Province since the upper Cave Man 18,000 years ago.

After breakfast at hotel, your city tour begins with a visit to the Ancient City Wall, the City Wall is one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world and the most complete ancient city wall in China. And today, the city wall is regarded as a landmark dividing the Xian city into the inner part and the outer part.

Afterwards visit the Great Mosque, the oldest and biggest Islamic mosque in the country, determined to have been built in mid-7th century. You will visit the Muslim Quarter, which many special local products and snacks to be found along this street. Then move on to visit Bell and Drum Tower Square, Located in the center of Xian and used for timekeeping in old days.

Transfer to the airport, take flight to Shanghai. Your Guilin tour guide will wait for you at the airport and help you to transfer to the hotel.

After breakfast, visit Reed Flute Cave - a national 4A scenic spots and a must-see tourist attraction in Guilin, which is a magnificent karsts' cave with a myriad of stalactites and stalagmites of all strange shapes. Your imagination is very important. Some look like lions, and some look like frogs and some look like a crystal palace. The cave is esteemed "the art palace of the nature".

Then move on to Elephant Trunk Hill, which looks exactly like a huge elephant stretching its trunk drinking water by the Li River. It is a proud of Guilin people. They use the picture of elephant trunk hill as the symbol of Guilin city. As the hill is situated in downtown area and at that place are stairs to the top for a panoramic view of Guilin.

Last you will visit the Seven Star Park, which covers an area of 1.34 square kilometers, it is the largest park in Guilin, and contains some of the finest sights in the city.

Pick up from your hotel in the early morning. Drive about one hour to get to the Zhujiang Pier for a 4-hour's cruising on Li River - the highlight of sightseeing tour in Guilin with lunch aboard. You will enjoy the beautiful mountains, verdant fields, farms and villages with water buffalos, cows wondering around on both sides of the river bank.

Get off at the old town Yangshuo - famous for its spectacular views of hills and rivers with famous bar streets. You can have a walk along the famous West Street and enjoy the free leisure time there.

After your breakfast, make your own way to Guilin Airport for your homeward flight.
